Thank you so much for your interest in the Creekside Gospel Music Convention! We are so excited! On Monday evening, we plan to honor Ms. Lou Wills Hildreth for 75 years in the gospel music industry. We are working on making this a great night of fellowship, music and fun. She has helped so many people through the years and is loved by many! We anticipate a great response to this night from our industry friends. On Tuesday evening, we are presenting the 2012 Diamond Awards Show. We are in the process of talking with groups to perform and also to be involved with presenting awards through out the night. We are planning to make Wednesday afternoon and evening full of gospel music. Our heart's desire in everything we do at Scoops is to promote the good news of Jesus Christ using Gospel Music as the tool. As you know, our magazine is free and we're excited to provide this event as free to the public as well.

We also expect to have a great time of fellowship with artists and industry professionals We plan to have a chapel service on Tues and Wed morning that will include a devotion, prayer and praise & worship. And- we are seeking the Lord through prayer as to what we could do for the community as an outreach project while we are in Pigeon Forge. Specific plans have not been made, but we are considering a couple of different things.

We are receiving a great response regarding the location. Pigeon Forge seems to be  a convenient location to many artists and groups. It is also a great tourist area with shopping, restaurants and other entertainment nearby. This week should be the peak for the changing of the leaves too! The backdrop will be gorgeous. We are also in the process of working with Smoky Mountain Convention center to offer our guests great deals on hotel packages. As soon as that is in place, we'll let you know the details, but I can say, the rates will be very affordable.

It is May, therefore every detail is not planned, but we are working with a planning committee to make sure this will be a great event for years to come. We've been overwhelmed with positive feedback from artists who want to get involved. We ask that you pray for us as we continue to listen and learn from others as we plan this event. We truly want the Creekside Gospel Music Convention to be an enjoyable experience for all!
