In its eighth year, Creekside Gospel Music Convention has come into its own at Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Hundreds of people who have attended all of the events will be returning to the Smoky Mountain Convention Center, to stay for the entire five nights and four days of music, laughter and family, on Oct. 27 - 31, 2019. Always seeing new faces because of the variety of music and the accessibility of the artists, the convention this year is developing into an even more delightful experience for all attendees.

Creekside 2019 is on the brink of surpassing past years’ attendance levels from the amount of interest already shown. VIP tickets are already being sought, many rooms at the Ramada Inn are booked and bus groups are planning their visit to this vacation town. Pigeon Forge, of course, offers plenty of activities for those who come early or stay after the event, from tourist attractions to dining to nature hikes in the Smoky Mountains. But for the hard-core Creekside fan, it’s all about the music.

One of the headliners already announced for this year is the Down East Boys. The Boys have been charting with great Southern gospel songs, and members Doug Pittman, Ricky Carden, Daryl Paschal and Zac Barham, are looking forward to their first time at the event. Carden, member of the Boys for over 30 years, says, “I am excited to be a part of Creekside 2019. I have watched this event grow over the past few years and am honored to be included in the great list of artists!”

Answered Prayer attended Creekside in 2018 and member Nikki Bernardo notes: “My first thought was ‘Wow!’ I felt like I was just visiting home if that makes sense. And I had never been there. The atmosphere resembles so much of like being with family. Anointed singing, lots of chatter among great friends we haven’t seen in a while, radio stations interviewing fellow artists in the back, and hey, I can get a whole new wardrobe in the corner from the Chandlers. Not only is it a beautiful event, just take a step outside and (see) how beautiful the location (is). Everyone was so gracious and polite. You could really tell that major preparation went into this event. We appreciate all you do to make this happen. I loved it and so did my family. Just let me know if I can ever do anything to help.”

Donnie Williamson, of the popular family group, the Williamsons, is thrilled to be a part of this function. “Creekside is the best of the convention type events,” he says. “The quality of the program and the family atmosphere is unsurpassed.”

“There is no way I can begin to thank God for this past week at Creekside,” said Mike McCrelles, solo artist, after Creekside 2018. “I can't begin to name the friends, both old and new, that I spent the week with. There have been many laughs, some tears, but most of all fellowship. Thank you, everyone!”
“Creekside to me is like going to my mamaw and pawpaw’s for Christmas,” Bobby Richards of New Journey Radio says with a smile. “Oh, I enjoy going to other family members’ houses, but going to my mamaw and pawpaw’s was special. That's how I feel about Creekside.”

The last Sunday of October usually sees the start of Creekside as the Kickoff Concert in the evening welcomes the early guests. Monday, the load-in begins for the groups, as well as the first daily showcase. The evening concert hosts the Life Achievement award for one special music industry leader. Thus begins the week of Southern gospel, Christian country and Bluegrass gospel music, as well as all notes that bridge the genres. Music day and night, midnight prayer and special preaching continue until Thursday night.

“This year will feature many new surprises,” says Rob Patz, owner of Creekside Gospel Music Convention. “If I gave them away now, where would the fun be in that? Just come. And bring a friend.”
Pigeon Forge, Tenn., will echo with the sound of gospel music this fall as the Creekside Gospel Music Convention returns to the Smoky Mountain Convention Center for the sixth year, from Oct. 28 through Nov. 1.

Creekside hosts keynote speakers, more than 40 musical guests, unique events and a large exhibit hall. C.T. Townsend is one of the speakers invited to address the Creekside audience. The 2017 Creekside Gospel Music Convention, Oct. 30 to Nov. 2, was a great time of fellowship, music, and ministry. The seats were full and hearts were touched by the preaching of Eric Bennett, David Ring, Dr. Jerry Goff, Matthew Browder and more. The music of more than 40 artists filled the halls of the Smoky Mountain Convention Center in Pigeon Forge, day and night. The altars were filled with people looking for a special touch from God. From the chapel services to the showcases to the evening concerts to the midnight prayer sessions, it was obvious this was no ordinary musical event.
Folks from all over have been filling Facebook with their comments on Creekside. Robert Reece writes the following:

Linda and I went up to Pigeon Forge Tenn. for a two-night trip and to attend the Creekside Gospel Convention. And WOW, GOD was there the entire week.

The singing was made up with some of the big name groups such Triumphant Quartet, Soul'd Out, The Browders, Jerry and Jan Goff, the Nelons and others. But, it was also filled with some amazing soloists and groups who maybe are not so well-known, but whose talent is just as good as any thing you'll hear at the NQC.

These lesser known folks brought their own songs written out of their own life stories and were just filled with the Spirit.

I'm not taking away from the NQC, but Creekside's quality of singing is just as good, maybe even better.

And the preaching/teaching by Dr. Jerry Goff, Eric Bennett, Matt Browder and David Ring was just amazing. GOD is good, Y'all.

The unwritten theme of the week, for me anyway, was "ARE YOU DOING ALL THAT GOD HAS INSTRUCTED YOU TO DO." This seemed to jump out in most of the songs and definitely in the sermons that we heard. And my answer is no, what is yours?

As David Ring says, "Why what is your excuse?"

Good job, Vonda Easley and Rob Patz.
Pigeon Forge, TN – Creekside Gospel Music Convention 2017 welcomes
the return of one of our favorite events, Midnight Prayer. Last year,
fans and artists gathered together after the concerts before heading to
sleep. They prayed and sang and had fellowship with each other, seeing
hearts touched and lives changed. Everyone so enjoyed these services
that Creekside is bringing them back in 2017.
Vonda Easley adds, ” I am so excited that midnight prayer is not only
back, but back by popular demand. I am thrilled to be part of an event
where artists can come together and pray for one another. Creekside is
not just a Convention, it is an experience that you do not want to
miss!”
This year , Steve and Metha Dover will be leading Midnight Prayer on Monday Night! Make plans Now to be there!
Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Annette was the youngest of three children. She began singing in church with her older siblings when she was 6 years of age. Her Father preached the gospel; her Mother played the piano and wrote gospel songs, and Annette and her siblings would sing and introduce the songs to the congregation. At the young age of 10, Annette asked the Lord to come into her heart. Since that time, her life has been driven by her tenderness towards the Lord and her longing to touch others through her voice as His vessel. Annette's commitment to the Lord in the music included Children's Choir Leader for 8 years while singing in various mixed groups, singing solos, as well as playing many solos on her saxophone to open local church services. While living in Louisville, her outing she most looked forward to annually was the National Quartet Convention. She had a dream to one day sing on stage at the National Quartet Convention, but never dreamed that would take place.

In 2009, Annette relocated to the southern Illinois area where she currently lives with her husband, Charles, and their beautiful White-Silver german shepherd, Dolly. Although Annette had always felt the Lord had a special work for her to do in the music, the opportunity to reach out and touch hearts throughout the world was not offered to her until her move to southern Illinois. Annette's dream to sing at the National Quartet Convention was fulfilled in 2014 in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; where she sang two songs from her first southern gospel CD entitled "Listen to the Still Small Voice". Annette has since released two nationwide radio singles, "I'll Trust You with Tomorrow" and "Splinters from the Cross" (now rapidly climbing on the charts) Annette has sang several times on main stage at The Great Passion Play in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

Annette has sang at many local church events, revivals, and charity events. She also performs at local assisted living centers / nursing homes and has a deep love for the elderly and shut-ins. She remains committed to the work of the Lord. Wherever Annette goes, she touches hearts, and many comments are made concerning "feeling her conviction" through her voice. She remains focused on drawing as many people to the Lord as possible.

Annette is well known for presenting concerts wherever doors are open for her. She has been noted locally to be the "Parking Lot Gospel Sing" artist, reaching out to touch hearts even when not behind church doors. Annette is also noted for the versatility of her voice - from traditional southern gospel to country gospel to blues gospel.
Southern Gospel Music has a rich and storied history and one of its greatest traditions and treasures is the family singing group. Names like the Speers, the Sego Brothers and Naomi and the Hoppers have made indelible marks in the profession. Another family gospel singing group that is carving a distinctive and lasting niche in their own right is the Sneed Family from the rolling hills of Kentucky . "Consisting of the husband and wife combination of Jeff and Pam Sneed, their daughter and son-in-law Caleb and Amanda Cowan, along with their sons Seth and Jacob, they blend their Christ-centered lives, heart-felt music, and inspired songs together to create an anointed sound that blesses listeners.
The Sneed Family began its gospel music journey in 1982 as “Glory Bound” with four young men just out of High School. The group was founded by Jeff Sneed. Jeff met and married Pam Saylors who has become the predominant staple in the current group. Today they are living the dream night after night with their family, singing the songs that change lives. From early beginnings in a small Kentucky town, this group has flourished into their own niche. The Sneed Family has 100 percent become a family affair, rising to national success in such a short period of time.

In early 2008 The Sneed Family launched a brand new Christian Television Show called “Glory Bound Jubilee” seen in over 1 million homes each week. The Glory Bound Jubilee is a branch off of The Sneed Family’s road ministry, which goes into venues and churches across the country showcasing many of the testimonies of our Christian faith. The Show also brings the faces of Gospel music into the homes of believers and non-believers alike. The Sneed Family believes that this show is their part of the Great Commission.
Other than the Glory Bound Jubilee being such a success, The Sneed Family has acquired many accolades of their own. In 2012, The Sneeds made their first time appearance on the National Quartet Convention’s mainstage singing, “Victory is Sweet” and “ Hallelujah Square ”. The Songs which were sung on mainstage had the privilege of being in the Top 80 Singing News charts, which were the group’s first appearances. Early 2013 The Sneed Family received the honor of being chosen to host the first Loretta Lynn Gospel Music Festival on her ranch in Hurricane Mills, TN. Also in 2013, The Sneed Family was nominated as the Favorite New Mixed Group in the prestigious Singing News Fan Awards.
Their highest accolade to date was being honored by the fans at the esteemed Absolutely Gospel Music Awards in April of 2014. They were voted Breakthrough Artist Of The Year and performed for the show along with Gospel Music's finest Artists.

The Sneed Family has a distinct style, a versatile performance, and a heart for ministry. Their desire is that God would use the message in their music to help lead many people to a “heart felt” salvation and ultimately a home in Heaven.
Dell, Susan and Richard Hyssong travel full-time as the award-winning Hyssongs. Their energetic ministry combines family vocal harmony, humor and brass instruments (trumpet and trombone) to delight audiences with their Christ-centered message, shared through the powerful medium of music. The family’s classical music background, along with their harmony and specific chord structures, lend them a unique sound that has made quite an impact on audiences.

The group has been singing together as a family for more than 20 years. In that time, the Hyssongs have received many accolades for their quality, inspirational Southern Gospel sound. The group was awarded the Singing News Fan Award for 2014 Favorite New Trio at the National Quartet Convention, Pigeon Forge, TN. They have consistently placed songs on the Southern Gospel Radio charts. They have had several charting songs, including three Top 10 songs, “I Was Blind, But Now I See” #7, “Lead Me To The Rock” #8 and “Prepare To Be Amazed” #7, and one Top 5 song, “It Doesn’t Get Better Than This” #4 on the Singing News chart. The Hyssongs were the cover story in an the March 2015 Singing News Magazine and have been featured in Christian Voice Magazine several times. Recently they were listed among ten artists by Absolutely Gospel.com as ones to watch in 2015 and voted Top 10 Trio by Singing News Fans. The group has also been featured on Paul Heil’s “The Gospel Greats” radio program.

The Hyssongs perform at more than 250 events each year throughout the United States and Canada. They minister in churches, auditoriums and on Gospel singing cruises, as well as on television and radio. Richard can be heard on his weekly syndicated national radio program called “Joy For The Journey”. He also hosts a weekly television program called “Southern Style Praise”. The Hyssongs have had the opportunity to sing to an audience of over 12,000 people on the main stage at the National Quartet Convention, perform at Renfro Valley’s All-Night Sing, annually perform at Dollywood, as well as Silver Dollar City. Through Compassion International, the group has also been privileged to sing in El Salvador, Central America.
